This is a simple root fix. Just use this app called framaroot. Its a one click root application. All you need to do is install it and click the section called Argorn.
Your note 2 will be rooted then. Please dont try the firmware restoration version because it can brick your phone.
To install Framaroot, you need to go check
Settings/Security/Unknown Sources

When finished you can follow the Synycalwon guys steps.
Finally this is a step that many people dont do but it will sace you 100 to 400 megabytes. Go to the file manager and go all the way to the root and click on the cache folder. Then delete the zip files because they are all the ota updates that were downloaded.
