As a careless person, I often drop my phone on the floor which landed me in a huge trouble. I own a phone (samsung A20) which I own since 2019 July. I have dropped my phone several times on floor. Initially, screen got cracked but it was still working. The next time it fell on the floor again, screen got blackout. Due to that, I had to got my screen replaced. After screen replacement, I am facing serious issues like white vertical line and bluish tint at the right bottom of screen.

My mishandling of my phone is affecting me a lot. I have a bad habit of roaming around with my phone. I want to avoid such situations forever. I don't want my phone to fall on the ground and get damaged. Screen replacement costs a lot. What should I do so that my phone screen doesn't gets damaged whenever it falls on the ground.

How do I find a screen protector for my phone's size? Will it inhibit other functions of phone?

1) Screen protectors are made for specific phones. You don’t have to measure the screen and then look for a protector of that size, or cut one to size yourself. That wouldn’t work anyway, because speaker holes etc might get covered. No, the manufacturers of them know how to make them with the right dimensions, shape and any cutouts etc, for your phone. Vast numbers of screen protectors are available from stores and online. You will find it difficult NOT to find what you want.

2) No.

Stop dropping it. Simple.
How? I am a very careless, clumsy and inattentve person.

When I dropped my phone which only got cracked, it slipped from my hand.

When I dropped my phone which resulted in screen blackout, the phone was in my pocket at that time. I was the one who slipped on the floor and fell down.

I think he was kidding.

Make sure you look for a Tempered Glass screen protector. They often come in packs of two, can have all the correct wipes and little cloths, and preferably a plastic cantilevered fitting case that lowers the glass on to the screen perfectly. It's still important when applying to do it in a steamy environment to prevent dust particles creating bubbles under the new glass.
Ibywind I've used twice and are excellent.

Really budget 8 - 10 dollars or pounds for glass and at least the same for a case. Spigen are another good case brand, with slim or very rugged cases. The slim are very good.
