AC Question

I've just updated my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to Android version 5.1.1.

The bookmarks in the stock browser have disappeared. Is there any way I can recover them?

The old bookmarks haven't disappeared.

Open BOOKMARKS (top right in the browser, next to HOME). Tap on the Bookmarks tab (the other tabs are Saved Pages and History). You'll probably see Bookmarks > My device, and it will say "No bookmarks". Tap on the word "Bookmarks" in "Bookmarks > My device" and this will reveal two folders: My device and Samsung account. The old bookmarks are in the Samsung account folder.

I have a Sansung Galaxy S9 with Android ver9.
I am using Samsung Internet ver11.1.1.52.

My bookmarks have suddenly disappeared. I don't know what happened with them all. @David Forrest - Regarding your reply, when I open Bookmarks on my phone, there are no "tabs." There is only the space where the bookmarked all used to be listed. My "Saved Pages" and "History" are in the "more" menu (3 lines). There is also nothing that says, or resembles, Bookmarks > My device. The only thing that says Bookmarks, is on the top left corner, with a < back arrow, that kicks out of Bookmarks.

My Samsung Internet is synced with Samsung cloud, so if I were to sync with my other device, would it remove the bookmarks from the other device or put them back on this device? I have temporarily turned off the cloud sync, to avoid any automatic syncing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. All of a sudden, several of my icons/apps and saved web pages disappeared from my Galaxy S9+

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean only the shortcuts disappeared from the homescreen? Are the apps still installed on the phone?

Are you using a 3rd party launcher like Nova, or the stock launcher?
