How do I recover voice recorder recordings from my Samsung 5?

I had a number of i important interviews on my voice recorder.
I switched from one telecommunications provider to another last week so switched the sim cards from the old to the new.
I had earlier sent some of the voice recorder files to Gmail which were saved. I hadn't sent these others prior to switching. I assumed my voice recorder files would be saved on the phone when I switched although no message came up to say, whether I wanted to save on the device or sd card.

Well regardless of which sim card is in my phone I have lost the recordings I had on the phone. A friend who is in IT tried looking for them also. Can you help?

Welcome to Android Central! The voice recording files wouldn't be stored on the SIM card. They're usually in the Sounds directory: http://www.solvemix.com/index.php/a...memos-stored-recorded-with-the-voice-recorder. Use My Files or any other file manager app to look in that directory.
