How to remove sim card icon on messaging for Samsung galaxy s7?

I have recently purchased the dual sim samsung galaxy s7, but am only using the second slot for a micro sd card. I now have a sim card icon that displays which sim recieved/sent the message on samsung messager. As I'm not using the second sim is there away to remove this icon, or disable the second sim option?

I have the same issue with galaxy A5 2016, it's really annoying. The best solution would be to have an 'empty' or at least transparent icon in the list of SIM icons, but there's no such an option (
