How do I remove a software update notification?

I just purchased the Package Disabler Pro, but do not find a com.wss... file or any other file that seems related to updating. What would it be called for an S5 using Android 5.0?

Me too.. it worked for a few days.. then... it came back again...

I think I accidentally found how to get rid of it forever. My phone is currently on Android 6.0.1 (Samsung Galaxy S7, Baseband Version G930AUCS4BQE1). Since it is an AT&T ROM, I can't disable auto updates.

Anyway, after a day or so of having the update notification stuck, it started auto updating without my consent. So as soon as it started, I quickly put my phone into recovery mode. Once it rebooted, it said the updated was stopped because of an error, and since then I have not got any notifications to update.

This is how I got rid of it for now, however if you are unsure of the effects this will have on your own phone, I strongly advise you not to do it. Depending on the phone, it may soft brick it and you may lose all your data.

What if we don't have enough phone storage for another another download?

I suppose not enough phone storage is why the T-Mobile app keeps giving the upgrade available message has been trying to download it for months. Here is there any way to stop the download at least until there's more phone storage? Why doesn't the app say they're not enough phone storage try later instead of clogging it up?
