Android Central Question

I have a Galaxy Note 4(still love it) & installed Peel-smart Remote control app & found I now have massive intrusive ads from it. I have already disabled the app & turned off it's notifications but that is not good enough. I want to remove it forever from my phone. I installed it from the app store, I should be allowed to uninstall it. But that option is NOT there in the app manager. Is there any way to remove/uninstall it short of rooting my phone? Will restoring to factory default work if there is no other way? I've tried several remover apps & none work or require root.
Please help. Thanks.

You cannot remove them without root. I believe that you can "disable" or "Hide" then under your application settings.

But I agree, you should be able to remove them.
