how do I remove the alarm icon from my status bar?

I have a galaxy s4 and I cannot get rid of the alarm icon in my status bar from where I snooze my alarm. Can anybody help me please. Thank you.

Open Clock and cancel the alarm.

Funny, the last 2 days that icon has been stuck on for me as well. I have no alarms set or had either . I have cleared the data and cache which works for a few minutes then poof its back.
This is a few days previous to getting Marshmallow so that is not it .
