How do I remove widget?

I just got my Samsung Dart phone. I wanted to get some tips on using it. I found an article on Android tips and used one of the tips to put a news and weather widget on my phone. I decided I don't want it because it will drain my battery too much. I tried to remove it and now I have two of the same thing on my screen. How do I stop or remove the widgets?

You should be able to long-press (touch and hold) the widget and a Remove option should pop up on the screen (probably on the bottom). Just drag the widget to where it says remove and let go of the screen. It should remove it from your screen.
