How do I "reset" Chrome (since I cannot delete and reload)

Lately it just sits there whenever I try to look for something. Normally I would just delete an app and reload it. But I can't do that with chrome. What is the equivalent to that other than resetting my entire phone (yikes).

PS: fwiw, I have no time to root my phone or whatever. As much as I would love to be able to do this kind of Android voodoo, it's just not an option for me.

Depending on your version of Android, the steps may be slightly different:

Go to APPS
Find Chrome
Tap the three dots at the top right
"Uninstall Updates"

If you don't have the three dots, tap on "disable". Android will whine about "oh disabling will cause problems" - OK
It should then ask if you want to remove all updates. Tap "yes" or "ok"

Chrome will revert to factory settings. Then you can go to the Play store and reinstall the latest version.

You can also try deleting the cache and data (from the APPS > Chrome screen)
- Tap "storage"
- Tap "Clear cache"
- Tap "Clear data"

One of these should fix your problem.
