restore a note backup?

i recently changed from a razr hd to galaxy s4. i made a backup of the notes i was making with a 3rd party note app, colornotes, but i don't know how to open the backup on the s4. i have the backup in the cloud and am not sure how to use it. s4 is not rooted. thanks.

Re: restore a note backup?

Welcome to Android Central! How did you backup the notes in the first place? Did you identify the note files and copy them to your hard drive? If so, try installing Color Notes on your S4, then create a note. Now use My Files to find the exact directory where Color Notes created that note. Copy the backed up note files from your computer to that directory on the phone, and see if they now show up in your Color Notes app.

[On Edit: I misquoted B. Diddy - sorry.]

I was looking for something about S-memo/notes on the s4.

I use Color Note on two devices. I use me Gmail address and password and after resetting one device I re-downloaded Color Note, logged in with my Gmail details and it synced everything over perfectly.
I did think it might be a security concern, and you have to agree to allow basic access.
If you are using two Google accounts or another email that might be an issue. (I think it only works with Google accounts but uses their own cloud servers)
Color Notes cannot be accessed anywhere else, there's a detailed explanation via their Play Store page.
