Welcome to Android Central! Were the contacts saved to your Google account, or only to the local Phone account? If the former, they should have synced automatically to your Google Contacts in the cloud--go to contacts.google.com to see. If the latter, then you're stuck. Locally stored contacts are in an SQLite database in a system directory that isn't accessible to the user (at least not on an unrooted phone).
