How do I root my moto m?

[Android Central Question]

Please help me root my moto m with build number: XT1663_S381_190315_ROW
I've tried many methods but none of it were relevant with this build number.

Have you unlocked the bootloader?
Is it a carrier-tied phone?

That's kind of old - I'd use Magisk to root these days. Install Magisk from TWRP, then boot and install the Magisk app.
