how do I set up google chrome start up page

I've upgraded to Lollipop on my S5, and for some reason, my google chrome start page and subsequent tabs, are trying to open a document that I had written and deleted.

I've tried to change the homepage, the subsequent tabs, delete and reinstall the update, but no avail. It still tries to load the deleted document.

How do I fix this?

How do I fix this?

See if you have the same issue when launching chrome from the app drawer rather than the dock. If this works, simply remove the dock app (long hold, send to garbage can) and replace with the app from the drawer.

I was having issues, too. I tried what Russell suggested, and it worked! Who knew it was such an easy fix? Thank you!

Still not sure how to set my own start page. (different than setting a home page) But, this fixed mine also. After pulling my phone out of my pocket and seeing that it got turned on and all sorts of apps were opened, I had my start page for Chrome set to Yahoo news and did see that when going to Apps/Chrome all was normal and simply replacing the icon worked.
