I am a little embarassed to be asking this because I am generally pretty phone/tech savy...

I thought I understood all of the "notifications" on my phone, but apparently, I do not.

In spite of turning off "sounds" for everything but my phone ringing, I am still getting, seemingly random, sound notifications from my phone. Perhaps once an hour, even a few times during the night, I get these reminder sounds. When I get these sound notifications, I can immediately turn on my phone, but there is no notification displayed, no new text message, no new emails, no appointments, etc. So the problem is, I can't tell what application is trying to notify me of what event. As a result, I don't know how to stop it. About the only time my phone is completely quiet is if I am Vibrate mode.

Is there a "log" I can check to see what is triggering these notifications?

So you have a sound notification but no notification in the status bar... hum....and you have no idea what app the sound is for... hum...

Could it be that maybe in an email app (or another app) you have disabled the notification for an incoming message or checking for messages but did not disable a separate option that specifically controls the sounds for the app?

I have this same problem! I have no idea what is doing it. It happens almost every morning sometime between 5 and 7 am. It will just randomly give me the same notification sound I get for emails/texts and there is no new emails or texts. Happens almost every day. I have no clue.

What I do now is keep my phone on vibrate since I use the vibrate setting on the alarm clock to wake up. When it is on vibrate, there are no notification sounds/vibrations.
