How do I skip to the next podcast?

Hi,

I've been using Podcast Addict, and Pocket Casts... in both cases, when a podcast is finished (or at any point along the way), I'd like to be able to switch to the next episode. As it is, I have to use AA's upper-left hamburger menu, find the app, select "Downloaded Podcasts" (or similar), then navigate through the long list of possible episodes to manually select one. Of course, AA limits scrolling ability when driving (understandably), and I usually can't get to my desired episode without pulling over and parking.

Is there a hidden feature in AA, or in a given podcast app (which I'd gladly buy!) that is basically a "next" button? This seems like such a logical thing to include, it must be in there somewhere, maybe as a voice command?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed!

I know Pocket Casts has a feature where you basically create a playlist and the next one will play once the first is finished, but I don't use it so you'd have to do some poking around in the settings to find it. Their customer support is very responsive, so you could also just shoot them an email asking about it.

Yes PocketCasts does have that feature but that feature does not work through Android Auto. You have to manually start every podcast.

According to their help section, if you create an "Up Next queue" (their term for a playlist) prior to launching Android Auto, it should be available including the continuous playback.

I use BeyondPod. It creates a list of new podcasts. I can configure BeyondPod such that when I hit forward it goes forward X seconds or when I hit forward that it goes to the next podcast. Personally I have forward and rewind go forwards or backwards by 30 seconds and not skip to next podcast.

So what I'm saying is that this appears to be a function of your podcast player and not a function of AA.
