How do I stop Google voice from ringing in gmail?

I use GrooveIP, but I am also often near my computer @ work with g-mail open.

When someone tries to call my Google Voice #, it rings on my computer, instead of on GrooveIP on my phone.

Is there a way to disable Google Voice from ringing in G-mail, and have it ring on GrooveIP instead?

The only way to stop it from ringing in gmail is to close the browser tab. Its just how it works.

Unfortunately that's one of the requirements of GrooveIP though...

I had my gmail set up to have chat disabled, and wondered why I couldn't call out. Found out you need chat in gmail for it to work.

Something else is preventing you out-calling - you must be signed out of Google Chat everywhere except on your android device.
