How do I stop the visual screen that pops up when I use the google voice assistant

Ok so i can't find an answer anywhere or anything at All! How do I stop the visual screen that pops up when I use the google voice assistant, I don't want to delete or disable the assistant I just don't want the screen to pop up when I need to see the screen behind in order to ask my question to Google assistant! I'm Getting beyond frustrated as I can't find even 1 other person or google search that asks or answers my question? Why on earth is that? Has no one else wanted it off? Or is there some reason why any other searches, articles? Or searches have been removed, deleted, erased??? seems a bit suspect to me lol bit I haven't a clue why... anyone able to enlighten me at all with regard to this issue any thing at All? Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think what you're asking is possible. The Assistant window comes up to show you text of both what it's transcribing from your voice and what it's responding with.
