Vibrates for notification even on silent mode

I just started to have the problem of HTC m8 vibrates every 30 seconds for notifications such as missed called, SMS or other app notifications. It is on silient mode but won't stop vibrate and it drives me CRAZY. I can't figure out how to fix it. It started a few weeks after the lollipop system upgrade. I really hate the new system, but don't know how to downgrade back to kitkat. And i don't know enough to do flash stuff. Can anyone help me please. Thanks.

Go to Settings, Accessibility, and turn OFF notification reminder.

Another option is to put the phone in DND mode (Do Not Disturb)

I have a similar issue but mine actually changes from silent to vibrate on its own and when it does that the power button stops working and the volume graphic pops on the screen. it is really annoying.

Deathunter IS the boss. Even teaching HOW to fish
(to find "Accessibilities"), Settings/→Personalization←/Accessibilities/Notif-Reminder
Switching OFF (at least on my Samsung S5 U.S.Sprint-Boost Mobile Marshmallow 6.0.1), the screen stays as if BlSOD (Black Screen of Death), for 10-30 seconds, depending on apps on which notifs are ON. I panicked a few times.
Fist bump Deathunter 👍

Re: Vibrates for notification even on silent mode

After hours, days even, trying to solve this, even to the point of HTC chat telling me to do a complete restore but didnt because I wasnt sure if I had backed up properly, HERE IS THE SOLUTION. Forget all other suggestions people, DND? really, with respect to others, that is lame, sorry. Thank you Deathhunter! [Go to Settings, Accessibility, and turn OFF notification reminder.]
Now, if only could find that htcsync apk file, or even "file manager" in settings.

Deathunter ... Please help me on this ... The vibration mode doesn't go off in my HTC one m8eye ... Even though vibration is not selected .

Ditto.
Story/scenario: used to use kit Kat. Would turn volume down to vibrate then again down to turn off vibrate. I could sleep without being bothered. Now in marshmallow I'm getting vibrates while no volume and dnd mode on. Option via accessibility is off but issue persists.
I can manage to stop vibrates by going into sound and vibrations and top option for sound change from vibrate to none.
But this is stupid that I should have to go deep into settings every night before bed and then remove in morning but leave dnd on until after work.
Another gripe is, why have vibration settings in two different settings groups!
What a step back from the volume down for different levels of mute.
