How do i take a setting that makes a picture automatically send to text off?

I am sending a picture, trying to go through messenger, but it always trys to send through text, how can I change the settings for that?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean you're trying to send it through Facebook Messenger, but it always defaults to the stock Messaging app? If so, go to Settings>Apps>All​, select Messaging, and Clear Defaults. Now try again.
