How do I transfer apps stored on my SD card to the S4?

My husband surprized me last night with T-Mobile's S4. Having had Sansungs for the past 6 years, I felt pretty confident with an hour of fiddling I'd have it up to my usual standards... but I cannot figure out how to transfer the apps I have stored on my SD card to the phone!
I went to the Google Playstore and download several of the apps (many I had purchased or had information on them) thinking that they would "sync" but that is not the case.

When I go to the storage settings, I only have a few options for the card, like unmount of format.
Suggestions?

you will have to wait for over the air update most likely will be when the s4 gets update to 4.3 in mid October until then no way to transfer apps to SD without hacking phone
