How do I transfer data from my current SD card to one with more storage?

My current SC card is almost full and I would like to transfer the data on it to a card with more storage capacity.

Most micro SD cards come with a secondary (larger) card reader. You can sometimes put your full card into this and either use a PC or a laptop (or a device that accepts SD cards) copy contents to a folder on the desktop then when done place the new card in the card reader and transfer the files over. I've always found this to be the easiest method..how this helps?

Or, if you have 2 card readers, put them both into the PC and copy directly from one to the other.

Note: if you have apps moved to the SD card, they won't transfer. Move them back to the phone, copy the card, then move them to the new card. (And if you put the old card back in, they won't work, because they're not in the same location on both cards.)
