How do I transfer my entire iTunes library to my new laptop? I cannot use my EVO because it is not working currently so I need another method to transfer my library.

I don't want to use an external hard drive as I don't have one.

I am running Win XP Home, iTunes 10.0, IE 8.0, Dell Vostro 1000 laptop

If you don't have an external drive, the only other way would be to use a cloud storage, like Dropbox or something.

This way you could transfer it to a storage service on the internet, and then download it back to your laptop. Depending on the service, you may have to do this in several steps, depending on the size of your library, and the amount of storage you have with the service. Many free ones give you a small amount, and then you can have more space if you pay a subscription fee.

I bought an external drive for mine, and periodically back my library and other files up to that. When I got a new laptop a few months ago, I was able to simply plug in the external drive, and copy the files over.

There are also programs that you can plug a computer and a laptop together, and transfer things that way. I think there were some out on the market when Win 7 first came out. I am not really familiar with those.

Hope this helps.

You could share the drive/folder and map to it on the other laptop (assuming you have a network).
There are definitely a number of ways to do so. I'd use the approach above (you can also use the existing administrative shares -- e.g. \\mylaptop\c$).
