Welcome to Android Central! If it's a full-sized SD card, then you could get an OTG USB SD card reader for the tablet. In the future, I suggest using a microSD card inside a full-sized SD card adapter inside your camera. Then, when you want to transfer the photos, you can remove the whole SD adapter from the camera, remove the microSD card from the adapter, and insert that into the tablet.

Another alternative might be using a wifi sd card in your camera, or I use a Kingston Mobilelite Wireless G3. Google it and you will see what this wonderful device can do for you. I don't work for Kingston, but this is one of my most useful devices I own along with my Tablet.
