How do I turn my new LG Volt microphone for text backon????

I have new LG volt. How do I turn the voice texting microphone back on??

Welcome to Android Central! Is this within the messaging app? Go to Settings>Language & Input, and make sure Google Voice Typing is checked on. did you figure it out ? YOu hold the settings button down for a few seconds next to the space bar.....then a menu comes up..click on the microphone....bam your done!

I use to have a microphone icon on my key pad on my old phone same kind.. my new phone is a lg stylo 2 lte now i have to hold down the setting key and then swipe up when in message. does anyone for the love of God know how to add the mike Icon for ease of operation? I would like to replace the settings key with it.
