I have a galaxy note5. I am unable to take screenshots cause when I push the home button google assistant pops up. I dont want to use it and I can't get rid of it How do I turn it off
Welcome to Android Central. I don't believe you can turn Assistant off, but I do think you can change how you take screenshots. Hopefully fellow Note users will chime in to help.

"OK Google" (bling) "Uninstall Google Assistant."
She'll tell you how to disable her. Please be sure to turn off "Google Voice" on that settings page before turning GA off. On my Note 8, I have to do that or "OK Google" is still active, and I can't get to that setting after GA is disabled. Bixby is now good enough that I have moved to it entirely.

No need uninstall, just hold the home button and power button or just take out the SPen

It shouldn't be this hard & it shouldn't be one or the other. Also, I turned it off in settings, but it still won't let me take screenshots.
