I'm not usually in need of Android auto at night, but I recently was, and it showed up in the (to me) annoying "night mode" with the display being gray roads on a black background.
Less-jarring to the dark car cabin, but also far less readable.
How do I set it to always be in daytime mode?
https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/android-auto-tweaks/ is one of several articles I found saying I can do this through "developer mode," which is supposedly accessed by tapping 10 times on the header text.
I can't gain that access though - tap right on the white words "About Android Auto," right?
However I do it, I just want to set the phone/car for permanent day mode when using Android Auto.
