How do I turn WiFi off and use my moble data.

I'm having a HUGH problem. My lg/Android phone is driving me insane. If I am away from home and the phone finds WiFi connections available in my area, even though I CAN'T connect to ANY of them, IT WILL NOT SWITCH TO MOBLE DATA. It may show me 15 connections in my area but I can't connect to any of them so my phone is totally useless. Even if I turn WiFi off it will not switch and the WiFi will turn itself back on. What good is having a phone that you can't use away from home. I want to know how to fix this problem NOW before I smash this thing into a million peices. Only been doing this lately. What have y'all changed? I'm highly pissed.

For me, this works: Turn WiFi Off, then Data On

I hardly use Data since there is always secure business WiFi wherever I go, but when I need to do something that requires me to get online and can't find WiFi, I do the order above and it works.

I did have the same problem you had because I had both On at the same time, but now I only have WiFi ON and always Data OFF, until a situation becomes different. - then I do the above
