how do I update my watch?

So android wear just came out with the new version 1.4 with additional features.

However, my fossil q founder is still running 1.3 and when I select update in the settings, my watch says it's up to date. What gives?

You'd have to check with the manufacturer to see if THEY have updated your watch to the latest version (the phone app will update but the watch OS might not). Also, remember that updates are usually staged, which means that even if an update has been released for your watch, it might not be available in your region until a few weeks later.
