Problem updating to Lollipop

I unrooted and factory re-set the phone. Two different root checkers say I am not rooted. However, I get a message that I cannot update because a root is detected!!! Have tried 3 times now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

You might need to reflash the stock ROM (the Lollipop update may not be available for downloading yet) in order to get rid of the root process. You should be able to flash it using ADB and the bootloader commands, but I am not very proficient with this. There are lots of YouTube videos for this though.

Just FYI - different updates check for different things when they check for root, because different phones are rooted in different ways. If unrooting the phone didn't undo one of the changes the update looks for, the phone has been rooted as far as the update is concerned, and it will stop. (You can do things while rooted, then unroot, and still have the phone brick during a stock update because of what you did while rooted, so an update should fail if the phone has ever been rooted.)
