How do I update to ZVH?

I'm a little confused. I have Drew's CM7 port running but I want to try the ZVH gROM. I understand that I need to upgrade to ZVH, how do I do this? My phone is root so is the process different?

This is the way to get ZVH. As the guide states, you'll need to be rooted to start the guide, so you're in good shape. The instructions will guide you in how to get your recovery to the V9 recovery, then how to flash ZVH, and then how to root it. Once you have that, you can re-install a custom recovery and start using ZVH-compatible ROMs. Enjoy.

If you are running CM7 at this point, I seriously doubt you'll be offered an OTA update. But if you are, refuse it if you have any interest in having a rooted ZVH phone.
