How do I view an attachment to a message?

A message arriving with an attachment displays a download button. When it is pressed the screen shows downloading, then, when finished downloading, "Downloaded." How can I view the download? I have read your manual and tried everything but have not been able to view the downloaded content. Thank you.

"Our manual" ? You mean "the manual"?

Your phone should have a "download" folder. You may need a file explorer app (should be included with the phone) to go to it.

Short of that, what phone? What message app?

Welcome to Android Central! If this is an MMS message (i.e., text message with attached photo or file), then you need to have mobile data turned on, since MMS doesn't use voice signal or wi-fi.

You also need mms enabled by the network....
