How do we get US carriers to make A70 available and compatible?

Not excited about the S and Note 10 options for various ranges add well as their prices. The A70 would be a great fit for me.

Frustrated. Current phone is Note 4 which is getting kess and less responsive but still taking great picsl

Making a carrier sell the A90 would take millions. You are expecting a business to buy a phone and modify its software in bulk and distribute it nationwide via retail.

Compatibility is dependent on the networking tech, not all carriers built their networks around the same tech. If Samsung designed and built the phone to be incompatible with a certain network that carrier isn't going to replace their towers and network tech to support a phone.

With that said, most international phones work in the US depending on what carrier you have. More information about what carrier you have would allow us to know if the phone is even network capable with your carrier.

The phone has Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 38, 40 and 41

AT&T uses Bands 2, 4, 5, 12*, 14, 17*, 29, 30, 66

TMobile uses Bands 2*, 4*, 5, 12*, 66, 71*

(The bands with the * are the primary bands)

So unless you live where AT&T or TMobile use Band 5, the phone won't work on them. (In other words, it's not made for the US market.) And I didn't even look to see if there's an English ROM for it.

People are buying in the A50/70 in the us and they seem to be compatible with us networks. Best bet is to buy an unlocked one online and you should be fine from there.

There are a few reviewers on YouTube that have done this and said there are no issues with it.

Ps agree with your views on the note. I watched the launch, awesome phone no doubt but there was nothing that was so compelling I would change from my a50 to it.

Thanks for the info. I don't fully understand the relationship of the different bands, and 2ilk continue watching for YouTube videos for
Encouraging info.

A70 is sold in Canada. All are unlocked. Our carriers are similar to Us. So best bet than a European model unless you want a Duo SIM.

Thanks for the input - I'd rather buy from a US carrier in my area, and Verizon offers the best service here.
