Plug your phone in and open the clock it shows it in there... This is pretty much the only place to get an actual percentage w/o a widget

I love this widget -- it's tiny and lives in your notification bar. (It's not in the market -- it was posted on Good and EVO a while back, linked from XDA.) It works great on the 3D just as it did on the 4G.

I installed "Tiny Flashlight + LED" from the market. I really like it, plus when you open the app it has battery % indicator.

I'm new here, a Pre- convert, but how about Mini Info? It has a widget and can show quite a bit more info than just battery %.
