How do you customize your note 9?

I recently wanted to start customizing my note 9. I have used different wall papers and themes, but I wanted to start using widgets and what not. So I downloaded HD widgets and half the time, I can't get it to work. I tried seeing it was "sleeping" and its not. Either I can put the app on the grid because its too big, or when I do the widget ends up not working.

I really want to do the cool things that I see on the home screen forum, but I have no idea where to start. Is there anyone that can tell me where to get started on customization for the Note 9?

Nova Launcher Prime
Galaxy Themes
Goodlock: Quickstar, Routines, Clockface
Swift Installer
Moonshine icon pack
Perfect icon pack
Automate It
Pixel Pill
Navbar Apps: dynamic setting for all apps, except 2 that are always with dark navbar, because I use them while driving; Car Home Ultra & Waze

I like how you kept the dock with bigger icons and on screen icons smaller kinda out the way

Yeah, they get small when you folderize them. 😉
You can see a few single icons on the second home screen (Play Store, Tapatalk, AC, xda) and they are regular size.

Hey! I found another, while looking back at my home screen...
Pixel Pill is the app /widget that is my google search. It's the colored 'G', in the center, 2 rows above the dock.

All of this customizability is the reason I no longer need root.

Does Package Disabler Pro count as a customization, since it keeps me on the Oreo?

Yeah I remember that widget pixel pill , use to have it on my phone.

Personally I like to keep my phone as clean as possible in regards to apps , widgets etc.

I own Nova Prime but haven't used it in a while.

The only widget I occasionally bring to my Homescreen is the Google Widget.

I have one homescreen and a few most used apps in my dock.

The rest are in my apps edge.

My thought process is when more widgets / launchers are activated these need resources and use more battery etc.

For me usage over eye candy takes presidence.

Every one to their own. ;)

None of my widgets show on the battery usage list.

The bulk of your apps are only accessible from the app drawer?
Do you have them grouped in folders?
