How do you do a screen shot?

Samsung Galaxy Light phone. I tried holding down the power & volume down keys but all that does is ask me to turn the phone off.

Do not hold them -- Just press them at the same time (for about a second) and then release.

Hold down for one to two seconds and release. If it doesn't work try the power and home if it has a home button
