How do you get along with your Xperia Z?

Hi folks. I've recently had a bad experience with the HTC One, which has resulted in me being back in the market for a new handset (UK). As it stands, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is not an option as I really do not like the Touchwizz interface and it is too expensive. Obviously my experience with the HTC has put me off that, which leaves me with the Xperia Z as an option (or I could save some cash and buy a Nexus 4).

How do people reallyget along with the Xperia Z. Are there any issues that I need to be aware of? Does the camera really take along time to load? How is the Sony UI and what glitches does it show in day to day use? Given the choice of handsets that are out there, are you happy with your choice or do you wish that you had chosen a different handset?

I know that there are a lot of questions, and everbody's use if different, but I am after real users experiences of it so that I can try and make an informed decision. I really like the idea of the waterproof unit, don't mind the square profile and really like the idea of the expandable memory.

Any experiences greatly appreciated.

Hey mate I just recently purchased it and I have to say that with moderate use the battery is poor if you can charge frequently it's not so much a problem. The display is amazing everything is very clean. Also the camera is slow too load but not by so much.

I really like my XZ - it is a really good overall phone. To me the keyboard is great to type on & if Swype type input is your deal, it dies that superbly. The build quality is top notch imo.

Negatives - screen viewing angle wash out is real (luckily I prefer to look straight on vs from an angle!). Battery life isn't great - wouldn't say horrible, but not great. Camera is slow to come up 2-3 seconds. I had an issue once where it wouldn't record/take a picture, my hunch is memory was low because I went in and closed a ton of open apps and it then worked. Also had a time while recording video where the phone locked up for a few minutes and then my external sd card had become corrupted.

Overall, the only current phone might trade straight across for is the Note 2 and I've had or tried out before returning our selling GS3, HTC One, Note 2, iPhone 4s & 5, LG optimus g, HTC One x , lumia 920.

But with the rumors coming up today about Xperia zu - the best of both worlds for me (Xperia z mixed with note 2) may be coming
