How do you hard reset the phone WITHOUT the lock pattern?

I've done some searching online and scouring the forums and I just traded my iPhone 4 for an Atrix and I forgot to get the lock pattern from him as I was on the phone with AT&T switching sim cards from micro to stardard size. I can't get a hold of him and was wondering how to hard reset it without the lock pattern so I can use the damn thing!

Edit: I think the phone is rooted. I tried a variation of power and volume buttons and I got "Starting RSD support" and "Starting Fastboot support" if that helps.
