How do you like the screen?

Better than my Nexus One's AMOLED but not as good as my wifes iPhone 4 retina display. Not far from the iPhone but not quite as crisp.

This is a good answer. Black text on white looks fantastic. Some things has semi noticeable aliasing. Overall its a good screen. Id take it over a slcd at 800x480 any day.

The reds look orange and the blues look teal? :( Now two people I've read have said this. *worried about picking one up today*

Has anyone else noticed a severe red push on video playback?

In general, I find the display sharp and pleasing. But, on video playback, it seems very soft and heavily red tinted. I can't find any way to adjust settings that might lessen this. I presume it's a by-product of the screen technology in use, but, it's way over done for video playback.

For comparison, I played the same file at the same time on the following devices: Atrix, Inspire, Captivate, and Iphone 4. I found the Captivate to be the sharpest and most vibrant whereas the Iphone 4 was crisp with more lifelike color. The Inspire was good but also had a slight red push and slightly soft overall display. The Atrix was by far the most red and most soft. I refer to soft as the loss of detail in a blanket that was draped over a sofa in the video I played back.

Hi I just switched this morning from the Iphone 4. This screen on the atrix is nice but when I put the 2 phones next to each other the iphone 4 screen is def brighter and also when searching the web the text is clearer on the iphone 4. Love the droid but wish the screen was better.

Screen on the iPhone 4 is FAR better when doing side by side comparisons to the Atrix... Both in brightness and clarity.. So much for qHD

Oh man... That's not good news. I was holding off on buying the T-Bolt only because of the Bionic's qHD display. :( Will try to compare the two when the T-Bolt gets released.

I don't think anyone was intending to compare it to the iPhone 4, merely to other Android handsets.

But we should compare it as the IPS screen by LG used in the iphone4 is the standard bearer right now. Android handset manufacturers need to start pushing the envelope in more than just MHz and RAM, to name two common components always involved in the race. Being a screen resolution slut myself I would love for a 4.3" IPS 330ppi screen (but that would be roughly 1152x864) so realistically I'd "settle" for 1024x768 = 297ppi :p

I agree, completely!

I was hoping the Atrix would be close to my iPhone 4 retina display but its not. Kinda disappointed as I thought the Atrix would hang close

I'm also a little disappointed in the Atrix display, I put it side by side to my iPhone 4 and the iPhone looks better. The colors on the Atrix are a little washed out. It's still a great device and I'm not regretting it one bit.
