How do you like your 5x? Regrets at all?

I realize this is a zombie thread resurrected from the dead, It died from almost three months before I got my Nexus 5x. But, since it was resurrected to complain I thought my thoughts might have some value. I got my Nexus 5x on May 2, 2016. I came from a Nexus 5 so the transition wasn't substantial and I enjoyed my Nexus 5x from the rocky start. The start was rocky because my Nexus 5x arrived with a wall plug for Europe. Aaargh! And, living in Oaxaca, Mexico, meant no USB A to USB C cables and no USB micro to USB C adapters. I ordered some, mostly from China. But, in operation the phone was fine. Unlike the previous poster, I knew the Nexus 5x had 2Gb of memory and mine has 16Gb of storage. I knew that and that was fine. I knew it didn't have an SD slot and didn't have a removable battery. I also knew that Qi wireless charging was gone and rapid charging was in but I had quit using wireless charging because I didn't like the heat generated. Since I charge my phone each evening before bed I don't really need, or use, rapid charging either. I really can't imagine anyone buying a cellphone without learning those basics but that's just me. My battery easily lasts me all day but I don't play games on the phone, don't sit and surf the web, don't do Facebook or similar programs.

I like my Nexus 5x but I did my homework and other than the European plug I had no bad surprises.

I absolutely LOVE my 5X - and coming from Blackberry, I have not been disappointed in the least in using my 5X as a pure business device.

Geolemon - it seems you did not do sufficient research into what the 5X offers before you made your purchase.

It really is cheapened, featureless design all around - but such is the industry trend that nothing out there was even a sideways upgrade for my Galaxy S5. So - "Oh well, might as well try out Google Fi" as at least a redeeming quality.
Other than that, I wouldn't call it "regret" as that would imply there were good alternative choices.

I find my 5X to be a substantial upgrade from my Verizon S5. S5 isn't in the same ballpark, it was a bloated laggy POS that was stuck on 5.0 for 14 months.

The rest you should have known going in. I also would like to see water resistance and more RAM as well as a better speaker but that was the compromise I made buying the $250 5X instead of a $600 (yet fragile) S7 or something more durable like the Droid Turbo 2. I'm happy with my choice. There is no perfect phone out there, you have to look at your needs and determine what fits best. Your post is comparable to me buying a minivan and then complaining I can't take it on the Rubicon Trail. I'll need to once again carry a 5 cent Ziploc or a dry bag with me when I'm doing outdoor activities. I don't like that, but again, that was my choice.

I'm actually regretting not getting the 6p. The 6p looks absolutely amazing, specs-wise, but I was coming from a Moto X 2013 (tiny phone), and the 5x is already enormous by comparison. Now that I've been using the 5x for a while... I like it, but it really could have done with a slightly better processor, more RAM, and stereo speakers. May upgrade to Sailfish if rumors that it will be similarly-spec'ed to Marlin are true.

I've had my Nexus 5x for only a little over two months, moving from a Nexus 5, and no, I have absolutely no regrets. Well, one. I wish I'd bought from a different company so the Nexus 5x I received would have had a charging plug I could plug into the wall sockets. Other than that, it's a great device. I am now running Android 7 beta and I love that, too.

No regrets here, coming from a Nexus 5. I don't see any lag in my unit. I think the lag lies in the apps and not the phone itself. Every time I see someone complain about lag it's an app I don't use. I never see any lag with the phone app, messaging, transitions, email, or opening web pages. Even playing games or using the PlayStation app second screen doesn't lag. I think a lot of apps have trouble keeping up with the small updates Nexus phones get all the time (monthly now).
