How Do You Like Your Moto X?

Got mine on Thursday; but I going wait till Christmas to open it! I kind of curious and would like some feedback on the new Moto X! How does it feel and look(screen, body, built)? Is it everything you expected? What don't you like about it? Is it worth the money?

I've haven't received mines yet but I've held it at the store and I instantly fell in love. It's just the right size at 5.2" and the performance is lightning fast. Sure there are faults like the battery and camera but it's still a solid phone. Since the cyber monday deal it was worth the money to me. I'm guessing the Moto X 3rd Gen will blow competitors out of the waters hopefully.

At the AT&T store; they had it attached in sort of a way that you could not hold it since the square was located at the center back. Also, it did not have wi-fi or cellular connected to it at all so I could not get any feel of how it actually performed. I looked at all the rest of the smartphones and only the WPs(dummies) and the Nexus 6 were not connected at all! Totally trying to not to sell these smartphones. I ask why they were not connected and the reply was that the person in charge did not sign on to authorized the sign on so the cellular or wi-fi would be activated.

I love the Moto X. It is by far my favorite designed smartphone I have ever had. The design and feel in hand is what sold me on it. I love stock android and the quick updates it gets. It may not have the best battery life and camera, but all the other positives easily out weigh those negatives

The phone is beautiful, but slippery. I have never been so conscious of not dropping a phone. I have had it almost a week and am still not used to it.

I like to go caseless and it was never a problem with my old moto x; it was like a little non-slip rubber brick, but this is a different animal. I wished they would have textured the aluminum frame the same way they did the power button.

I ordered the CaseMate bumper; we'll see if I end up using it when it gets here.

You must have never had an iPhone. You can't even set one of them on your lap without it sliding off onto the floor.

This phone is much better than I expected. I love this phone. Easily the best android phone I've ever owned.

The camera isn't so great but honestly you can get good shots if you're patient and focus your shots. I love the build quality and I forgot how amazing Motorola radios are. Calls on this sound better than my 6+.

I love having pure android and moto display. Moto voice is nice and it works well most of the time but at times it feels like it was a hacky work around instead of something that was built in. Perhaps a different launch phrase would fix this.

I don't think I can ever go back to a phone that doesn't have Moto Display now lol. And I love waving my hand over the phone to activate Moto Display. It works really well, and it drives my girlfriend nuts because I keep pretending I'm a Jedi. The force is strong with this one.

So far its great! However I'm not attached to it like I was with the HTC M7. I think in a year or so I will have no issues handing it off for another flagship phone. MOre than likely another Moto product as long as prices are good! Otherwise I'm enjoying and I do not regret the buy for $550. (32gig PE)

This. It's come to the point where I feel a slight pang of annoyance every time I pick up my Nexus 7 (when the case is open) and have to push the power button to make the screen turn on. It just feels like magic to move your hand to the phone and see the time/notifications pop up for a second.

I just got my 2nd gen yesterday and so far loving it. I had the 1st gen moto X for about a year now. I used Motorola migrate to pull everything over, then updated to lollipop. So far I'm loving the phone and the battery life seems to be equal to my 2013 MX. Lollipop is different and will take some time to get used to, but going with the 2nd gen X was a good move for me. I get to keep VZ unlimited, bought on the Cyber Monday deal so got a good price too.

I got mine last Friday in Cognac leather with gold accents and LOVE IT. The leather is so so so nice. Way better in person than the pictures. Lollipop is super smooth and no complaints there. The camera is mixed. It's taken some poor shots and it's taken some awesome shots. I also got the quick charger and that things the truth!

My first Android phone was the Evo 4G. Loved that phone. Then I had the Galaxy Note 1 and 2. Going back to a smaller phone, I must say I don't miss a thing. I have the AT&T 32gb and it is amazing. No touchwiz or sense interface. The size is perfect and I agree with above. Active display is great. I got rid of my Note because the home button was going bad. I hate physical buttons now. I love I can pull my Moto out of my holster and the screen be on. It is pretty smart with sleep time and driving too. Voice is iffy but even Siri is that way. My display is super sensitive. I can have it in the kitchen table and walk by it and it'll cut on. But battery life isn't any worse than my Note.

I am totally happy with this phone.

I was originally worried about the size as I was a fan of the 2013 moto X, but so far I really like it (3days). Fast, good screen, battery life is fine for me, and my only issues are a couple of minor Lollipop bugs. Google search crashes on return to the home screen, and album covers get stuck on the lock screen even after the app is close and/or the song has changed. Only a reboot will remove it so far... In my case it was with Spotify.

I'm coming from a Galaxy S4 and I am shocked with how much quicker this phone is. I mean everything is lightning fast compared to the S4. And, despite the battery being 300 mAH smaller, I'm getting much, much better battery life with the X.

ONly thing I want to figure out now is how to root. I have a bamboo back / black front / blue trim. Looks friggen awesome.

Had the 2014 Moto X for about a week. Really liked the build quality, UI, screen and size, however battery life was pretty bad and the camera is just ok. Ended up going back to my G2 due to great battery life, custom ROMs and back buttons. I'll probably get the M8 or wait for the M9.

Sent from my G2 running SlimKat

Just received mine yesterday, 4 days ahead of the estimated delivery date. It's a beautiful phone. I updated to Lollipop last night. I will be giving it a test drive over the next few days. I'm on the AT&T network, and the Pure Edition is working well. I get 4G LTE. It's very responsive. I like the display a lot. I prefer it over my previous N5. I like AMOLED screens over LCD's.

It took some a little work to get Smart Lock working. I had to uninstall the Google Play Services updates, and sideload 6.5 to get it working. I like Active Notifications, but I prefer Glance on my Windows Phone. The response of the phone is very good (no lag).

I wish there was an IR blaster, user replaceable battery, wireless charging, and shock/water resistance. That would make it near perfect.
I will test out the camera in the next few days as well as condition the battery.
