How do you place files in "Ringtones"/"Notifications" folder?

Probably a dumb question with a simple answer. I've downloaded all of the Droid X factory ringtones to my Incredible, and I would like to set the "Droid X" to be my phone ringtone, and the bootup "Droid" sound as my notification. Problem is, when I try and use Astro to move the files from my download folder on my SD card to the Ringtone and Notification folder in the system directory, the files won't paste to this directory.

The only workaround I've found is to set the ringtone as a music file and set it to be my phone ringtone through the media player, but that causes the ringtone to be played amongst my music, and it doesn't help me for the notification tone anyway.

Is there some quick and simple way I'm missing to drop downloaded files into the system directory?

Thanks in advance.

Here is the path I use /sdcard/media/audio/ then I have folders (Alarms, notifications, and ringtones) in there. By doing this they will show up when you go to select a notification.

Yeah I have the same setup, but on the phones internal memory instead of the sd card. In fact it's the only stuff on my internal memory lol!

Thanks guys! Got it going through the media folder on my SD. Didn't even know that folder existed.

I am really not liking astro anymore....I want the X sounds....

I have every mario bros sound ever made though...pretty funny stuff.
