How do you stop the timer sound volume from gradually increasing?

The sound that plays when a timer in the stock Clock app times out gradually increases in volume, rather than being at full volume from the beginning. I've looked all over Settings and cannot find out how to make it stop doing that. Anyone have a solution?

It's under the "Alarm tone and volume" option in the alarm settings

I have that turned off, and that setting only affects the alarms anyway, not the timers. And there is no similar setting for timers. That's why this is so frustrating. Any other suggestions?

Ah I assumed you meant the alarm. As far as the timer, I don't know. Sorry!

It seems like a complete oversight to allow the gradual volume increase effect to be turned of for alarms but not for timers, doesn't it?
