AC Question

want to take blood pressure with s-health app on my galaxy 6 phone. how do I do that?

I believe it was Bertie Wooster who said, when told that drinking alcohol hardens the arteries, "My arteries could do with a bit of hardening".

It can't. Obviously you're not a nurse or medically trained, so I'll explain. Blood pressure is measured as the pressure at which Korotkoff sounds are heard over your arteries. So basically, there is nothing on the phone to induce a blood pressure measurement. You need to apply pressure to arteries and listen for the sounds. Even automated BP monitors have a cuff to induce pressure, then a vibration/audio sensor.

well said my friend cant believe we are surrounded by so many idiots .
why Don't you try asking a doctor on how to take BP on Your S7 ..
good luck with that !
I actually am a doctor. I just didn't want to laugh at him on my post. I am content at looking at my screen incredulously and scratch my head.

Most health care professionals are generally well informed when they speak on a topic AND care about giving the best possible advice. I'm sure someone who has spent 8+ years at an institution of higher learning would also know how to google. If you did actually take the Hypocratic Oath, please be mindful that this was an opportunity to aid someone seeking to embetter his or her health. If you did not, I can imagine the answer you will most likely provide.

Again the phone itself cannot take blood pressure. An accessory is a different thing. It's basically no different to using a standard BP cuff and logging your findings, the only difference is that the logging is done automatically by the accessory. The question was how to use the phone to take BP.

At Mobile Nations, all phone-related questions are welcome, including, and perhaps especially, those which to some have an obvious answer. The point is that the answer is not obvious to the poster, which is why the question is asked. It is the duty of members who know the answer to offer it in a friendly and helpful way. That's what these forums are about.
