I'm actually waiting for my carrier (Bell) and RBC Visa to update their app/system so I can use my S5 as a payment.

I use it for Google Wallet....the vending machines at my school have NFC payments so I use it easily. Also use it at McDonalds and other fast food joints

I transferred files from my s3. I didn't like that it wouldn't work unless the cases were off.

Primarily to transfer photos and videos I've taken on my phone to my wife's Note 2. Works awesome for that especially since S-Beam estabilshes a wifi direct connect which greatly improves transfer speed and with the photo/video sizes getting larger and larger. For example, her sister just got her masters degree and I took photos and videos at the ceremony. When all was said and done I went into the gallery, selected all the photos and videos, enabled NFC and transfered them all over. Easier than dumping them first to my PC then to her phone.

Does anyone know if NFC works with the new wireless charging back cover? I would assume that it would, but I know many cases/covers can be too thick for NFC.

On another note, does anyone use a case that enables NFC to still work?

NFC works with my case... As long as it's not thick it should work fine

I use an NFC tag in my car to open Car Home Ultra (app) and turn brightness up to 100%.

I use it at Home Depot. About the only place to use it in my area. Almost every time I use it, the store associates are amazed. Goes to show how much people use it. Wish there were more places to use it.
