How does the leather feel v. the Ash wood?

What are the pros and cons of leather and or Wood?

I felt the "soft touch" at best buy. Not bad. Wondering about the other options.

I prefer the rubber grip, but wood like bamboo with a white front and sliver white accent is really a nice design to look at. Actually a real head turner in my honest opinion. It is way slippery compared to leather or rubber backs.

I have the ash wood and really like it. I don't find it any more slick than the silicon. It's smooth so it doesn't have the texture of the leather but its not slippery. Plus it looks great!

Is the back the same as the Moto G? I didn't see a Moto X at the BB I went to but I did feel the Moto G and wasn't overly impressed. I'm thinking about going with the Wood back because of the weird texture on the leather. Not too sure yet but I'm so ready for a new phone.

I agree. Really loving the Ash wood feel. The grip is not an issue for me

Its not the same. The moto g is a hard plastic. The silicon on the mxpe is softer.

I had the wood on the Moto X 2014 edition and liked it alot, wood backs have a nice feel to them vs leather.

I've got the leather back (cognac) and love it. I don't regret it for a second. Yes it marks easy, but it adds to the unique look to the phone. Over the course of the month, the cognac finish has got darker, but it still looks really good. It still smells really good too as for the texture of the back, it helps give the phone more grip.

Could you share any pics of the leather now? Debating between the natural leather and the cognac - really interested in how each will age. LOVE the look of the aged natural on the 2014, but seems like they age much less on the 2015 due to the saffiano, making the cognac closer to what an aged natural on the 2014 looks like.

The wood is very slick. I bought the Ebony wood, it kept slipping from my hand even with the casemate bumper motorola sent me (not the one included in the box). I couldn't stand it because I felt like it was going to slip from my hand. Then i bought a iBlason clear back case, and that didnt work because it got marked up so easy and just collected oil easy. So I re-designed my phone to the silicon because I just didnt want leather, and I the grip is unreal. Hope that helps.
