How i learned to flash a ROM

Got SuperClean DL09 .4 flashed, now which kernel?

you need to flash a new kernel, try one of adrynalynes kernels...put it to the root of your SD card and flash the kernel via clockwork

Can you recommend any one kernel over the others? So many to choose from!

Test 4 non voodoo is working best for me, you need to experiment

Excellent! One last quick ques - I noticed after flashing that SC DL09 .4 doesn't have a modem with it. Can I flash the modem now, or should I go back to stock & start over?

no roms are roms, as long as they are compatible with DL09 you are fine

when flashing a rom kernels and modems stay put, all you are changing is the OS not the modem or the kernel

Is there a specific order it needs to be flashed in. Like ROM first, then modem, then kernel? Just wondering. Modem needs to be done in ODIN..got that..and the rest through CWM. Any specific order though?

I've always heard to flash the modem first in Odin, and then the Rom and Kernel in that order in CWM.

yeah i have that file myself, im adding it to my new thread on reverting to stock and using Odin that im working on..

PS told you odin is sensative with how its connected

And im downloading the Three Part files:

you are very welcome, please let me know if you need any further help,,,also a titanium backup may be useful or if you have clockwork installed a nandroid would be great.. and also dont forget to back up contacts

Ok, so i flashed DJ05.tar file, and my phone is running AWSOME *in high pitched voice. But i didnt know it would erase all my apps, and contacts. So i have Re-rooted again with no problems, and downloaded ROM Manager. My question is, do i have to run the FlashClockwork Mod again?

Sorry about that , thats why at the top of the post where you got the DJ05 file it says it will wipe everyting thats not on your SD card

yes if you want to use clockwork for DJ05 follow either section 2(green clockwork) or 3(red clockwork) in post #2 of that same thread

sweetness man. Ok now im having a problem. lol. I accidentally deleted the nuance android vsuite file on root explorer. Now i keep getting a pop up the app has stopped unexpectedly, and soon as i force close it pops up no matter what i do!

I hope it will fix it, so i can start from scratch

yeah flash odin again if that doesnt work we will try something else
