Just curious. Personally, every device I've had since 2011 has been a Nexus or Moto X Developer Edition. I've gotten used to not having one and don't miss it.

However, I am sure there are some that saw Moto's addition of an SD Slot as a huge deal.

Are there any Samsung defectors that elected to get this phone over the Note 5 or GS6?

I prefer internal storage and got one with 64 GB. I probably only needed 32, but I always buy up when I have the chance.

I'd also be curious how much Moto is paying to license the technology for the SD Card slot, considering they were already very conscience of price. If it was relatively inexpensive, maybe they did it specifically to try to pick off Samsung customers that were upset.

I'll be curious to see if Samsung changes course when the next Note/Galaxy S Phone is released?

Coming from the first gen Moto X, nope.

I think its a plus but not a decision maker... my main concern is battery life and bugs.... my 2013 was great but it seemed after lollipop it just felt too old

Other - It will never be an important deciding factor for me. I have had phones with SD cards and still do not use them.

Fairly important, I've used the same card for a few years now, I've got thousands of pictures and songs on it, quick and easy when changing phones to just pop it in

No bearing on my decision at all.

Very important. 64GB was cutting it close to enough for me to just delete movies every once in a while to put new ones on. But if they came out with a 128GB version then I would have no need for SD card slot.

Having a SD Card had no impact on my decision to purchase this phone.

Major deal in my case. That's why I got an LG G4 after being a samsung user since the original Galaxy S.

I use 4G and WIFI most of the time so it was never a deciding factor in what phone I got unless that phone had less storage than I could handle =), I have over 3TB online storage wrapped up in OneDrive and Dropbox so storage is not really a factor. I would however have never said no to an SD card slot in my Galaxy S6.

Very important because phones without sd cards are more expensive and 16 gb is not enough, 32gb is still little bit too small. Sd cards are cheaper than extra internal memory. I can carry everything more or less important, offline access everywhere no worries about roaming costs, data plans limits, weak cell signals. Much easier switch to new device

I considered the cost when I was deciding between the 16gb and 32gb models. I found the cost to be similar or the cost of the 32 maybe actually be "less" expensive over the entire time you have the phone.

A good quality Class 10 card will cost $15-$20 dollars and the resale value of a 32gb model over a 16gb is around $30-50.

The proposition of the convenience of adequate internal storage versus break even cost of using a MicroSD made me choose the 32gb model.

Anyone have a suggestion on which SD card they are going to use on their pure?

I've used microSD cards in all the phones I've owned that had that option. It's really easy to transfer data; photos, music, etc. And, up until this phone, the most internal memory has been 32GB. At this time, my Note 4 only has 6GB internal memory left. But without the SD card, I'd probably have no room left. I bought a Samsung 128GB card several months ago and I definitely wanted to keep it.

Very important for me. I keep music and videos on it.
