How is AT&T’s 5g+ displayed on a 5g phone?

I ask because I had the s20 ultra before and when I was testing out 5g+ here it displayed it as just ‘5g’ but couldn’t connect to 5g. I’ve read at least one person on a forum say it’s suppose to say ‘5g+’.

I have no clue but.. ATT 5Ge is just LTE Advanced. I would assume that 5G could be a simple 5G but ATT loves to mis-market there stuff.. and they don't need too. Its really fast either way.

No I wouldn’t say it’s really fast here. I wish it was. It’s at best 50 mbps dL. And I’m not too optimistic about its 5g+ here but I’ll see that in my tests hopefully.

I would call 50mbps fast for mobile. Around here Verizon tops out at around 20 to 30. ATT blows past that at about 100.

Thats just for LTE. 5G speeds can be all over the map depending on who's 5g and what it does... whether is NR or low band.

I wouldn’t call 50 mbps dL fast on LTE or 5g. Here Sprint is king. AT&T and Verizon are just ‘normal’. I had tested T-Mobile’s 5g low band and it was same as LTE but what makes me jealous is seeing other people in different places peak at 200 mbps dL on T-Mobile’s low band. I have my money on Verizon having the best 5g network here by the end of the year with its mmwave and hopefully it’s low band**. AT&T should had been king in 5g since it announced 5g+ about 2 years ago. T-Mobile may cover more here with its low band but it’s mid band won’t measurably touch here this year.

What do you do that requires so much speed?
