How is your call quality ? Nice and quiet smooth no noises?
I realize that location some places plays into this just a general question on quality.

Best call quality ever for me was off an iPhone 7 on T-Mobile. Ever.

I read some posts on the XDA forums describing issues with call quality. Static and clicking noises during calls. I'm hoping these are isolated and not common. Thanks OP for starting the thread, maybe we'll get some good input.

I've only had 1 call on this phone, but the quality was fantastic. Call was made on Verizon from my wife's iPhone to my unlocked XL with a VZW sim. My last phone, a VZW HTC 10, the call quality was fine, but nothing special even with HD voice enabled. This call was crystal clear (and it was made and received in pretty rural areas) and appeared to automatically have HD. The true test will be in a few days when I'm at work (in a city environment) and the wife calls on her way to work, because of all the background noise that will be involved. I clearly remember a few days ago barely being able to talk (despite showing excellent signal) so it'll be a good comparison.

Good for me as well on AT&T. My only complaint is that when the call ends there's a rather loud "disconnect" tone, especially loud if you're on speakerphone. But the call itself was just fine, no issues.

Are you able to use VoLTE, and VoWIFI on ATT with the Pixel 2's?? I know ATT blocked the OG Pixels from those services.

Been great for me. I'm not a fan of talking on cell phones... But it's better than most. HD voice calls sound Crystal clear too.

Verizon VoLTE, honestly can't tell the difference between 2XL and my old 7 Plus, both sounds great.

It's absolutely unremarkable. This phone works pretty much like a phone to me. I haven't had a chance to try HD calling. I've had HD calling enabled on my S6 for 2 years and never did encounter a call from or too anyone else who was HD enabled...

Yeah, but can you use VoLTE, and VoWIFI on ATT with Pixel 2's? I can live without the VoLTE, but for me to switch carriers, I have to have VoWIFI.

My neighborhood has a known problem with Verizon reception, Verizon knows about it also. My original pixel along with my neighbors phones were no exception. I would walk from one room to the next, and my friends thought I switched to T-Mobile it was so bad, haha. With the pixel 2, my calls this weekend we're perfect around the house. If Verizon has poor cell coverage in my neighborhood, I don't know how the phone would make a difference, but it did

Ironically enough, actually call quality is the LAST thing I worry about with my phone. Actually calls are rare, everything else comes first.

On At&t

I only talk on a Plantronics BT ear piece , so calling on both ends has always been good...and remains so on both ends(and I have been asking the other person). The volume has gone up on the same earpiece, I can hear music and podcasts while mowing on my tractor. So the audio sounds better. Interestingly my ringtone sounds amazing on this phone through BT.

My wife complains that I sound poor, lots of digitized-sounding static. But when I switch to speaker she can hear me fine. I can hear her just fine as well.

I have made enough calls on the phone with ear and speaker and car audio controlled Thur steering wheel to say sound quality is execlent , however I do live in a big city so not sure if that's a factor

Call quality is fine on my end, but people calling me complain of echoing. I also had one freakish call to a pharmacy, and apparently the pharmacist couldn't hear me at all. Still not sure what was going on with that one.

is it when using a headset or something? I haven't had any echo complaints.
